All Fishing Hot Spots Maps are produced using the latest computer drafting and imaging technology for optimum accuracy and clarity. Each detailed map provides depth contours, boat ramps, structure, navigational aids and lake info such as gamefish abundance, forage base, water clarity, weedline depth and bottom composition. Maps also contain expanded GPS waypoints and an easy-to-use latitude and longitude grid. In addition, productive fishing spots are marked and numbered on L-series maps. Descriptions are provided for these specific areas, offering suggestions on how to fish them and when they are most productive. M-series map features are similar to the L-series, the major difference being limited GPS information. Each Fishing Hot Spots map is printed in full color on tear-resistant, waterproof paper. Map size is 24" x 36" and folds down to a convenient 4" x 9" size. Fox Chain North This map includes Bluff Lake, Lake Catherine, Channel Lake, Grass Lake and Lake Marie. Rend Lake Rend Lake is one of Illinois' best waters for largemouth, crappie and white bass. Good numbers of channel and flathead catfish also provide angles with plenty of action. Mississippi River - Pool 13 (IL/IA) With largemouth bass averaging 2-1/2 lbs and the average walleye weighing in at 3 lbs, anglers will find plenty of quality action in the 34 miles that Pool 13 encompasses. Sauger, largemouth bass, channel catfish, white crappie, black crappie, bluegill, freshwater drum, carp and buffalo round out the species found in Pool 13. Mississippi River - Pool 26 (Alton - IL/MO) This map covers 40.7 river miles of the Mississippi River which hosts more than 75 species of fish. A majority of anglers target catfish, crappie and bluegill, but a strong largemouth bass population also exists in Pool 26. Other species frequently sought after include sauger, channel and flathead catfish, white bass, drum, carp, buffalo, bowfin and gar.
